We are delighted to welcome Melissa Petrillo to our incredible team at Lake Ave Recovery. Beginning her career in the mental health field in 2006, Melissa brings an insurmountable level of expertise and experience working as a licensed clinician as well as in supervising and training clinicians. Melissa has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, private practice, and academia. As a professor at Bay Path University, she has gained extensive experience working with individuals with complex trauma, substance use disorders, and developmental delays.

Melissa graduated from Assumption University, specializing in Trauma Informed Advanced Education. She is also skilled at working within the juvenile justice systems, drug courts, and local school systems. Melissa’s areas of specialty are anxiety and depression, women’s emotional health, family therapy, complex PTSD treatment, spectrum disorders, and substance abuse/dependence.

Melissa wholeheartedly believes that healing involves the mind, body, and spirit. Receiving a Dance Degree from Dean College in 2006, she enjoys integrating movement within her treatment approach. Melissa has completed advanced training in ARC (Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competency), Internal Family Systems, and Somatic therapies.

We are honored to have Melissa bring her wisdom, proficiency, and capabilities to our life-changing treatment programs at Lake Ave Recovery, and look forward to witnessing her impart her knowledge to the team and clients
