About Kim Barnaby, MS, MSW, LCSW
Kim first earned a BA in Psychology in 2012 through Baypath University, then went on to earn her MSW from Springfield College in 2015. Since 2015 Kim has been a practicing LCSW clinician in various capacities for the last ten years. Recently, Kim completed her second master’s degree earning a MS in clinical mental health counseling.
With over 13 years of professional experience in the field of mental health, Kim has a thorough understanding of the dynamics and innerworkings of many complex systems such as DCF, DYS, drug courts, and the criminal justice system.
Kim is passionate about working with individuals and their families struggling with substance use disorder and the many other complexities associated with substance use disorder, eating disorders, mood disruptions, anxiety, stress, and grief.
Kim utilizes a holistic approach that is person-centered, strength-based and solution-focused that is often complimented with skill building techniques such as CBT, DBT, resiliency building, and motivational interviewing. Kim’s commitment to her clients is to provide compassionate and empathic care in a judgement-free, safe place where no matter what your circumstances may be, they do not define you; you define you.
