Lake Avenue Recovery will work with you and your insurance provider to determine the best treatment options to fit your needs. We accept private insurance providers and provide free insurance verification upon consultation. Though we do not accept State Medicaid plans at this time, we offer private pay options, including a customized payment plan.

Lake Ave clients keep their cell phones, laptops, or tablets with them throughout treatment. We ask that they be silenced during groups to reduce distractions and interruptions.

Our experienced medical and clinical staff use a comprehensive assessment to determine which level of treatment would be most suitable. This assessment is based on the American Society of Addiction Medicine’s placement criteria, the most widely used and comprehensive set of guidelines for placement, continued stay and transfer/discharge of patients with addiction and co-occurring conditions.

We evaluate you on an individualized and personal level. Our comprehensive assessment starts with psychological and cognitive evaluations so we can better understand your history with addiction, identify any co-occurring disorders that may affect your treatment and place you in the appropriate care. This assessment will help determine our recommendation to you for PHP or IOP level of care.

If you are experiencing the effects of withdrawal or need detox, we will gladly help place you in one of the many detox programs or other substance abuse centers in Massachusetts with whom we have strong relationships, prior to you joining Lake Ave Recovery for treatment.

Greeted by our friendly staff and led to our state-of-the-art café, your day begins by sipping a cappuccino by a warm fire before joining the dedicated clinical team for life changing psychotherapy sessions. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in daily psycho-educational, therapeutic, and experiential groups along with your weekly individual counseling sessions. You will participate in experiential or mindfulness activities which include restorative sessions in a quiet lake cove, forest bathing, nature walks, light strength and fitness training, yoga, Tai-Chi, Qigong, Therapeutic Massage, Reiki, expressive arts therapy, or any number of new and engaging activities.

Our on-site therapy dogs assist our professional curative team in providing the comforting and uplifting atmosphere we on which we pride ourselves. Clients can enjoy our complimentary snacks and beverages, or a delicious, nutritious catered lunch which provides an opportunity for clients to get to know each other. Each day ends with an informal wrap-up session, safeguarding your progress in treatment and providing the guidance for another positive and productive day. We also have an active Alumni Program and a Family Education program, and both are open to all Lake Ave clients.
