About Dylan Dion-Bernier, MS

Dylan received their bachelor’s degree in psychology and biology from Bard College at Simon’s Rock. They went on to receive their master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling as well as a certificate in advanced trauma-informed care from Bay Path University. Dylan has previous experience with a variety of populations including individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as other developmental disorders. Dylan originally joined the Lake Ave Team as an intern in the summer of 2023.

Dylan is passionate about creating an inclusive and safe space for their clients. They take a person-centered approach and strive to help their clients recognize their strengths as individuals as well as their progress towards their personal recovery goals.

Dylan strongly believes in the importance of addressing underlying mental health concerns and past trauma that impacts individuals with substance-use disorders. Dylan also believes in the importance of having a client’s support system play an active role in the client’s treatment which is why they help lead Lake Ave’s bi-monthly support system event.
