Treatment During the Coronavirus Pandemic

With a large number of businesses and support groups being forced to close their doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s left a number of people wondering if now is the right time to start or continue to receive treatment.  Is it safe? Should it wait? At Lake Ave Recovery, we strongly believe that getting your life on a healthy track should never wait or take a back seat. Now more than ever people need help coping in a wholesome and productive manner, which is why treatment centers are considered an essential business during these trying times.

Is Lake Ave Recovery Still Accepting New Clients During the pandemic?

Yes! Understanding that those with substance use disorders or in recovery are among one of the most vulnerable populations during this pandemic, our doors are open and will continue to stay open to new clients. With rigorous guidelines in place, to ensure the safety of both clients and staff, we are currently offering our full and part-time treatment programs to both new and existing clients. In addition, we have also opened up to the innovative world of telehealth, providing the same engaging treatment options in a virtual setting.

Is Now the Right Time for Treatment?

These are truly challenging times, and addiction cannot be ignored. The COVID-19 pandemic presents a unique set of challenges that society has never faced before. Fear coupled with isolation, economic uncertainties, and loss of support systems can be an overwhelming situation to endure, increasing the chances of overdose or relapse. Don’t allow the pandemic to push you further into isolation or try to cope with everything on your own, without the help of a professional counselor. Right now, more than ever, we are dependent on each other and need human connection.
